LittleVolumes (littlevolumes.com) makes personalized storybooks where your child is the hero. To do that, you trust us with something precious: photos of your child. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what happens to it. The short version: your photos are used only to make your book, they are never sold or used for anything else, and you can have them deleted at any time.

What we collect

When you order a book we collect the details needed to personalize and deliver it: your child's first name, the pronouns to use in the story, their age (optional), 2-3 photos of each child who appears in the book, your name and email address, and a shipping address if you order a printed copy. Payments are processed by Stripe, we never see or store your card details.

How we use your child's photos

Photos are used for exactly one purpose: creating the illustrations in your book. Our illustration process uses AI image generation guided by your photos, and every page is quality-checked before delivery. Your photos are never sold, never shared for marketing, never made public, and never used to train AI models.

How long we keep photos

Guest orders: we delete your uploaded photos within 90 days after your book is delivered. We keep them that long only so we can produce your free revision if you ask for one.

Account kid profiles: if you create an account and save a kid profile, its photos are kept while the profile exists, so reordering new books is easy. Deleting a kid profile removes its photos from our storage immediately. You can also email us at any time and we will delete everything we hold about you.

Where your data lives and who touches it

Photos and book files are stored in access-controlled private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). We share data only with the services needed to make and deliver your book: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (storage), Brevo (transactional email such as your book delivery), our AI illustration provider (processes photos solely to draw your book's pages), and, for printed copies only, our print partner receives the print file and your shipping address. None of these providers may use your data for their own purposes.

Children's privacy

LittleVolumes is a service for parents, guardians and gift-givers. We never collect information from children directly. By uploading photos you confirm you are an adult and are the child's parent or guardian, or have their parent's or guardian's permission.

Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to your account and to remember your cookie preferences. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, and advertising cookies (such as the Meta Pixel) to measure whether our ads work. In the UK and Europe these are off until you accept them in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back. We never sell personal data, and your child's photos are never used for advertising or analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you and your child. Email hello@littlevolumes.com and we will act within 30 days, usually much faster.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. Meaningful changes to how we handle photos will be emailed to account holders.
